Easy weight loss dinner ideas- Crock Pot Chicken Stew


  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 2 stalks celery
  • ½ bag baby carrots
  • ½ onion
  • 6 potatoes
  • 4-6 cloves of garlic
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1-32oz chicken bone broth
  • 1T dried parsley
  • 1t sage
  • 1T salt free southwest chipotle Mrs. Dash
  • 1t cumin
  • 1t basil


For this easy weight loss dinner idea, pour bone broth and bouillon cubes in a crock pot and place on low temp.  Add cubed chicken, cubed onion and cubed potatoes.  Slice celery into 2 inch pieces and add baby carrots (leave carrots whole) to the pot.  Finely dice garlic and add with all the dried herbs. This low fat, dinner idea is so easy just stir ingredients together and cover and let it cook all day. (approx. 8-10 hours)

Note: You can substitute with boneless, skinless chicken thighs but keep in mind, the chicken breast has 1/2 the fat of a chicken thigh. To keep it low fat, use the boneless, skinless chicken breast option.
