Faster way to weight loss-Pico De Gallo

  • 12-15 Roma tomatoes diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro chopped
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 1 lime (juice)
  • 2-3 jalapenos diced
  • 1 tbsp. Real salt or regular salt (optional)

Directions:

Add flavor without adding fat. This low fat snack is a faster way to weight loss. Dice the Roma tomatoes and remove the top stem core.  Remove the seeds and stem from the jalapenos and dice. Be sure to thoroughly wash all the ingredients, especially the cilantro. Coarsely chop the cilantro.  Peel and dice the onion.  Use the juice of 1 lime.  Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl reserving the lime juice and salt. Stir thoroughly.  Add the lime juice and stir thoroughly again.  Add salt and stir thoroughly once more.


Tips:  For best flavor refrigerate overnight.  Stir and serve cold.  If you like it more spicy add another jalapeno.  If you like it less spicy, add 1-2 more tomatoes.  Zesting the lime peel and using the lime zest will add another layer of flavor.


Note:

Jalapenos are very high in vitamin C. This is a healthy, vegan, low fat snack. Use as a garnish to top salads, fish, chicken, pork or red meat.
