Weight loss salads-health nut green-salad

Ingredients:


  • 2 cups organic mixed spring greens
  • ¼ cup sprouted organic pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp. hulled hemp seeds
  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ cup shredded organic carrots
  • 1 tbsp. cold pressed olive oil or avocado oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:


 This weight loss salad is packed with super foods and healthy fats! Cut or tear mixed greens into bite-size pieces and place into a bowl.  Some mixed greens are sold pre-washed, if not, be sure to wash the greens in cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Drizzle the olive or avocado oil over the greens and toss to coat evenly.  Sprinkle in hemp seeds and toss to cover the greens evenly.  Top with pumpkin seeds carrots and thinly sliced avocado. Salt and pepper to taste


Tips: For faster results, wash the greens and then put them in a salad spinner and spin to get the water out.  Hemp seeds and sprouted pumpkin seeds are considered superfoods and are high in protein, omega 3 and omega 6.  Avocados are considered "healthy fats" along with the olive oil and avocado oils.
